NARS – Saratoga

I was going to do the new OPI and Zoya purple comparison but I already packed my memory card and camera in my suitcase… I’m off to Colorado Springs today for a 2 day meeting about the next version of my software.

It was snowing there yesterday! I had to go and buy a long wool coat and gloves to go with my scarf and beanie. haha! I’ve been in California since I was 4, so I’m a huge wimp about the cold. Wish me luck. 🙂

Anyway, here is NARS – Saratoga! I found it too light and bright for me since I like darker, richer colors, so I swapped it to Gemma almost immediately. It is like a raspberry tone.

It is really pretty though, and the light really catches all of the warm glints inside!

I’ll be back Saturday. Time to grab my luggage and Xanax for the flight. Eeek.
(Oh, and Wooden Shoe Like to Know didn’t really match my new dark gray jacket and the clothes I’m taking, so I went with Teasey Does It!)

Borghese – Vignetto Berry

This one was swapped to me, so I had chosen it kind of randomly from a picture.

I was so surprised to find that it was a matte! And it looks so amazing with a clear coat on top!

(Clear coat on the ring finger)

I didn’t like the chunkiness as the matte, and when the top coat was on, it was sooo gorgeous but it reminded me of 2 other polishes I have, so I’m swapping it. I am seriously running out of room, so I’m having to really fight my urges to hold onto all of these!

OPI – Tease-y Does It vs Nubar – Raspberry Truffle

I finally put these side-by-side so I could really tell exactly what the difference was between them!

From far away, you can’t really tell a difference at all!

If you look closely though, Raspberry Truffle is definitely more of a berry and Tease-y Does It has more of a cola color to it!

Now I finally know which one I prefer… OPI Tease-y Does It!

Do you have a preference too, or am I just too picky? 😉

Inglot – 343, 346, 635, & 636

Were you wondering what I bought at Inglot? I got 5 polishes, this awesome shimmery eye shadow that is pink and brown, and 3 round pans for my 10 round pallet.

Let’s get to the 4 dark polishes I got! (The other was a light pink matte that I’ll swatch later, it wasn’t that exciting.)

These are SO amazing. 343 and 346 are really… dazzling! 343 is a wine color and 346 is my perfect favorite brown color that isn’t so dark that it could be mistaken for black and isn’t bronzey!

635 and 636 are their new “breathable” line of polishes. They are a creme base with a hidden shimmer. 635 is taupe with purple shimmer and 636 is a purple magenta with raspberry pink shimmer.

I took another shot that focused more on 635 and 636 so you can hopefully see the hidden shimmer come out a little more. It isn’t as apparent as it is in the bottle (the bottle I’m holding is 635 by the way!!) but you can still see it!

What do you think!? 635 can sound like a Paradoxal dupe but it really isn’t… it is much more strictly taupe, the only thing that is purple is the shimmer inside!

I love them all and can’t give any of them up! 🙂

Chanel – Strong

This is another Chanel that looks so much more rich and shimmery in the bottle than it does on my nails. I hate when you see this polish in the bottle that is just something you want so badly and then when you put it on, you don’t see what you hoped to see.

In the shade it just looks like metallic glossy black…

In the sun you can see some raspberry purple, but just barely. Look at the bottle though!

Ah, what a tease. Chanel, you’re a big tease! I know a lot of people love this one though, so maybe its just me. :-/

Do you like it?

Zoya – Reva

I thought I was going to end up liking this the least of their new summer collection, but I actually like it the most!

It looks red in the bottle but on the nail, it looks like a really pretty raspberry color with tons of gold sparkle. I imagine if I had 3 or 4 coats, it would look red, but with just 2 coats, it was beautiful and showed off the pinker tones in the base.

It was even more berry-ish in direct sun!

I thought I’d love Faye and swap Reva, but I’m doing the opposite!

Deborah Lippmann – Razzle Dazzle

Okay, this is the last Lippmann polish I had to get. (I think!) I’m so glad I did, I LOVE it! It applies a lot easier than the other larger glitters, and the base color matches the glitter too so after 2 coats, it is nice and even!

It does kind of dry a tiny bit gritty though.
