Lots of light blues! (Part 1)

The color I’m picking for my wedding is light blue, so I’ve been looking at light blue invitations, flowers, well… everything, of course. My step-sister’s wedding was Tiffany’s blue, and my future sister-in-law’s wedding was periwinkle blue. I’m sure they know how it goes when you know you want light blue but you have to pick the exact light blue you want!

Anyway, although I’m not sure I’ll have any of these on my nails on my actual wedding day, it had me really wanting to compare all of my light blue polishes! (I’m excluding Chanel Riva since I no longer have it and already swatched it in here.) So here we go! 🙂

Don’t those look so pretty all laid out like that?

I’ll start with the two that are my least favorite just because they look too smurfy blue to me.

Color Club – Blue Light

petites – creme blue

I was able to place the rest in 2 shade categories… baby blue and baby green blue.

Here are the baby blues!

Sephora by OPI – Havana Dreams
This one is a really pretty shade of baby blue. It is a creme and it doesn’t have any dinginess to it.

Nubar – Baby Blue
This is a really opaque and chalky creme baby blue. Unlike the others, you can probably get away with 2 coats on this one. It almost looks like acrylic paint as you’re putting it on the nail!

Hard Candy – Sky
This is my second most favorite nail polish ever, I could just go on about it forever! haha

Look at that shimmer that comes out, it is just the prettiest thing!

Essie – St Barths Blue
I’m not big on this one. It is really sheer and probably takes about 6 coats to be opaque. It is a shimmery grey-ish blue.

OPI – I Vant to be A-Lone Star
Although this one is a little too grey for me, it is actually really pretty. Its nice and shimmery and applies a lot better than the Essie St Barths Blue. I’d like to compare this to China Glaze Sea Spray, but I don’t have that one yet!

Whew, that’s already a lot for one post, I’ll continue on the next post with the baby greenish blues!

To be continued…
