Jade – Deja Vu

Finding a good spot in my new house for indirect sun swatching isn’t going so well, so I got desperate and did this in my work parking lot with my tablet! The pink holographic looked SO awesome in the sun, I had to get a picture!

I got this one from the llarowe shop. I couldn’t resist the “hot pink holographic” description. It is a little more blue-toned than I hoped but the particles are tiny, so this looks REALLY cool in the sun! Like foil.

I’ve actually had it on since last Friday, and wore it to Palm Springs for my birthday… going pool-hopping! So it stays on really well too. 🙂

Color Club – Yum Gum vs. Modern Pink and MAC lip gloss ingredient lists!

These are the two hot pinks I have from Color Club that are a plain creme.

Yum Gum on the left two nails and Modern Pink on the right two:

Its hard to tell a difference really! I took one in a dark corner of my room because I think in the shade is where you can see Yum Gum pops a little more…

If you wanted this color and couldn’t decide which to get, get Yum Gum because it smells so heavenly!!!!

Okay, so on to the MAC lip glosses! I LOVE their lip glosses. Especially the black line!

It is the only formula that doesn’t dry my lips out, it stays on, its nice and smooth, doesn’t have any negatives for me whatsoever! Since I like to try and make my perfect colors out of frankens at times, I wanted to go on TKB Trading and get some mixes. (If you do this, get the rum or pecan flavor oils, holy crap they make it smell sooo good!) I wanted to find the MAC ingredient list so I could pick the same base, but I couldn’t find an updated ingredient list anywhere!

I asked them on their site and it took them weeks to get back to me, but this morning I finally had the ingredient lists!

I am putting it here in case it will be of use to anyone else. 🙂

ManGlaze – Mayonnaise & hot pinks to stamp with!

This was some experimenting I did before the french manicure that I posted in my last post!

First, I put a layer of ManGlaze – Mayonnaise on, so that I could see what these hot pinks were going to look like over white!

Here is a swatch, its a matte white polish with some shimmer!

Here were my hot pinks and one neon green I was going to try while I was at it:

From left to right, those are Color Club – Screamin Fucshia, Konad – Psyche Pink, Sally Hansen – Sonic Bloom, a Kiss nail art polish in Bikini Coral, Revlon Scented – Raspberry Rapture, Sally Hansen – Orange You Cute, Zoya – Ali, Illamasqua – Lament, Diamond Cosmetics nail art polish in neon green, Essie – Pink Parka, and Zoya – Lolly

The 3 on the right didn’t work at all (Diamond Cosmetics nail art polish in neon green, Essie – Pink Parka, and Zoya – Lolly)! But all of the ones on the right did!

Here they are stamped with the new bundle monster plates!

Pinks with hot pink shimmer…

I saw the new Spring displays that Maybelline just put out and wanted to swatch the pinks because they both have the hot pink hidden shimmer inside! Pink Halo and Pink Glimpse.

I picked up both from these:

Then I grabbed my Zoya – Barbie and Nicole by OPI – You’re an Angel to compare them since they all have hot pink shimmer in them.

Since the hot pink shimmer only shows in the sun I had to get that photo in direct sun. It was still hard to show the shimmer inside of Barbie, so now I feel like I don’t like it as much… her hidden shimmer is a little too hidden.

You can see the hot pink flash the most with Pink Halo, that one is more of a sheer. Pink Glimpse is my favorite though, the bottle that I’m holding. It is a nice white and pink frost with the hot pink shimmer inside and leaves no visible nail line. It is the prettiest to me! I think I’d wear that one with the Pink Halo over it to intensify the pink flash… sounds perfect to me. 🙂

Color Club – Electro Candy

I love how every time I go to look up an Orly swatch on Google Images, I see this among all of the nails. HAHA!

Cracks me up every time.

Anyways, onto Electro Candy. I tried so hard to capture the bright green hidden shimmer that this hot pink has but I failed miserably. It looks like a normal shimmer, but I promise, the shimmer really is bright green. Cool, huh!?

Zoya – Ali

I saw a few swatches of this one online so I just had to get it! I love Zoya – Lo and this one just is a little brighter. Its hard to get a good photo of it because it throws my color balance off! If I hold the bottle up to my screen, I can see that the photo is a tiny bit more on the magenta side and this color is a lot more like a hot pink than a magenta.

On the nail it is just a tad bit redder than in the bottle…
