Pure Ice – Pardon My French (lemming!)

My story about looking everywhere for Pardon My French has such a happy ending! Pure Ice sent it to me themselves! I am so thankful to them, I hope they know it. 🙂

They saw my post somehow and answered the call, doesn’t that just make you love them even more? Generous and good to their customers beyond belief!

Anyway, I’ll get to the swatch! It was more than I even expected. I didn’t need a base color layer at all, and it wasn’t globby like a lot of other hex glitter polishes are. It is even a peach-ish color of brown, so it is really unique. So absolutely perfect!

Spring Giveaway!

That pretty glowing one there at the top is from Night Reflections! Its the clear with glitter that glows Aqua in the dark! Fresh from their shop. Since I have my polishes up on a rack, I can see this one glowing twice as much as my others, even the OPI and China Glaze polishes I have that are glow in the dark! The first winner will get that plus 4 of the others.

Nox Twilight – Citrus

This one was pretty appropriately named since it really reminds me of pink grapefruit! The shimmer is really warm and contrasts well with the base coral color.

I’m in crazy wedding-planning mode now! I finally have a real wedding date, now that I’ve coordinated with the church, the reception place, my photographer, DJ… and all of the rest! Its May 26th!

BB Couture – Romeo

This is one of my BB Coutures that I love so much!

In the bottle, it looks like a coral/peach kind of mauve if that makes sense… then when its on the nail, it is more of burnt pink red. I know that doesn’t make sense. haha! Their colors are so unique! It has tons of glittery sparkle in it though!

I think I had to get this one after seeing it swatched on vampyvarnish.com so I’d recommend looking there or on google images to see how it has different tones in it on different people!

If any of you see an online store that is selling the China Glaze Metro collection, let me know pleeeeease. 🙂

Color Club – Revealed

I baked a chocolate cake today with almond flour, cocoa powder, coconut oil, truvia… tried to make it a guiltless one. I hope it doesn’t taste like crap? ha!

Here is Color Club – Revealed! I had such high hopes for it, a pretty peach with a pink shimmer… but unfortunately it was just too matchy matchy with my skin tone so it looks horrible on me.

If you can pull this one off, I envy you, because the polish itself is pretty!

Orly – Pixy Stix

I love this reddish pink springy color. It isn’t neon but its really bright and happy!

I took this one in the shade, but I think I see some blue sky reflecting in the glossy finish of it…

This one I took in the sun is closer to the exact color!

I haven’t gotten any of the new polishes out yet, have you? I have been so busy, but my next post has to be about 2 blog awards I just got this weekend. I WILL do that today! 🙂

4 Spring Peaches!

There are only 18 entries in my Spring Giveaway guys, so your chances are really good. Just FYI!

Illamasqua Purity was my first peach polish, and I loved it, so I wanted to do a little comparison of the others I picked up recently!

Here is American Apparel’s Summer Peach. I think pale Peach is much more springy than summery…

I compared it here with Illamasqua Purity. You can see how Purity is more glossy and a little darker of a shade. Both are very pretty!

Then I added another two so I could compare them all side-by-side. The two I added are Rescue Beauty Lounge’s Lulu and a new one that forever21.com had, which was Feminine Wiles by love & beauty. (Their polishes don’t really have names on the bottles so I labeled it as love & beauty’s peach but when I went through to find my old invoice, I saw that on the site, it is named Feminine Wiles. They describe it as baby pink but to me its pretty peachy!?)

Oh, and don’t miss out on Zoya’s Earth Day promo! It is SUCH a good deal! My color spoons should get here by tonight so I’ll be filling my cart before I go to bed. 🙂

Illamasqua – Purity

Toxic peaches!? This color is too pretty to think of it that way though! This is the peachiest color I own and its the prettiest peach color I’ve ever seen.

It applies nicely, isn’t too chalky, and its perfect for this season too. 🙂

Rescue Beauty Lounge – Lulu

This one ended up being a lot more peachy than pink, but that wasn’t so unfortunate for me anyway because my skin tone does better with peachier pinks!

This one was so much easier to apply than my other pastel peachy pinks, I was able to get this look after 2 coats, where it takes at least 3 with my others.

I got a few of these in the last couple of weeks. Lighthouse was too odd for me so I swapped it right away. I held onto these 3:

Tahitian Flame, Sugar Crystal, and Jewels

Tahitian Flame is my favorite! I thought it was going to look purple (I don’t like purple btw), but it looks more gray than purple!

Here’s Sugar Crystal and Jewels, left to right:

I’m going to put Sugar Crystal up for swap, it just isn’t very flattering on me, and I don’t like when there isn’t a base color so you can see my smile line underneath.

I love Jewels though! Such a pretty sparkley pink!

I think their swatches on their site are a bit too different from what they actually look like, so I’ll have to go searching for swatches the next time I buy them.
